Died 23rd February 2008. Gary,... who would regularly sing his own rendition of Tone Loc`s "Funky Cold Medina"
at his local, The Mid Yoken Lounge Bar, Eastcraigs most Saturday Nights.
He was also our 1st ACADEMY K-STAR Voted by The Regulars there using our Unique
Audience Voting Policy when ACADEMY - The Karaoke Experience first launched there
in September 2006
And after Winning the Cash Prize he said,...
"Karaoke!... Its all just a bit of Fun to me. I cant believe coming 1st
and Winning £25. Personally..... I Think im worth more."
and we, The ACADEMY Team, would agree.
Unfortunately we were unable to record Gary singing this, as it was his wishes not to be
hosted on our Website. With this in-mind and out of A Great Respect to a man who
gave so much, not just each Saturday Night but in life as a whole, we are hosting, and
for a limited period only - Tone Loc`s Original Version of
"Funky Cold Medina"
To all who knew him so well and miss him dearly, we ask YOU to play it once... for Gary.
The World of Karaoke has lost `A Great Entertainer`- We`ll Miss You.
